A courtyard, an olive tree, and the food of Rhodes
Acropolis began with a simple idea: take the Greek food we grew up with and give it a calm place to be enjoyed. So we made a courtyard in the heart of Faliraki, with whitewashed walls and blue doors, an old olive tree at its centre, palms overhead, and lights that come on as the sun drops.
The cooking is Greek and unhurried. We shop the market in the morning, cook over charcoal and open flame, and keep every plate honest: good olive oil, lemon, herbs from the hillside, nothing that gets in the way of the ingredient. Come early for a quiet drink, or late for a long dinner. Either way, we would rather you stayed a while.
